Construction will begin in 2027 for the Oyster Point Clinical Support Building. The facility will centralize UCSF Health Pharmacy and UCSF Health Clinical Laboratories functions into one facility as part of the Kilroy Oyster Point Phase 2 development, located at 369 Oyster Point Boulevard in South San Francisco. UCSF Health will occupy an approximately 280,000-square-foot building as the anchor tenant for the Phase 2 development. The building is scheduled to open in early 2029.

Project Background
The UCSF Real Estate Services team began evaluating locations in 2019 to support the long-term growth of the UCSF Department of Pharmaceutical Services. In 2021, the project expanded to include larger-scale distribution capabilities. Real Estate Services identified an opportunity to co-locate UCSF Health’s Pharmacy and Clinical Laboratories within a single facility to support operational efficiency and long-term collaboration. The project received approval at the UC Board of Regents' November 2025 meeting.
Co-Location Strategy
The selected site enables the co-location of Pharmacy and Clinical Laboratories, improving operational efficiency and collaboration by consolidating functions previously spread across multiple locations.
Facility and Design
The core-and-shell building was designed for biotech tenants and includes infrastructure to support complex lab and pharmacy operations. The facility will primarily support internal functions, with limited patient-facing services, including an infusion center and retail pharmacy. Hospitals will continue to maintain on-site services.
