UCSF’s facility at 95 Kirkham, originally built in the 1950s, completed renovation in February 2024 for seismic safety improvements and other updates, including a dry lab and support space suite, offices, conference rooms, and breakrooms. A roof replacement, ADA upgrades, and fire and life safety system upgrades also were part of the project.
This work supported the UCSF mission by providing a building with seismic improvements for the UCSF community.
The building received a Certificate of Occupancy in February 2024. The general contractor was Rodan Builders.
The $8.5 million project scope included adding new interior plywood shear walls, remodeling the interior, replacing the roof, and painting the exterior of the building.
