On Sept. 13, 2023, UCSF opened its newest research and academic building, UCSF Pride Hall, on the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center (ZSFG).
The project highlights the 150-year partnership of the two medical institutions, UCSF and the San Francisco Department of Public Health, which ZSFG hospital and clinics are a part of.
UCSF Pride Hall is a state-of-the-art teaching and research facility with five floors housing more than 800 UCSF employees, including about 200 physician-scientists and clinicians. The building is between 23rd Street and Building 5 on the south side of the ZSFG campus.
The project also contributed to the community by providing training and pre-apprenticeship opportunities for San Francisco residents through UCSF’s Community Construction Outreach Program and CityBuild. Twenty-three of those pre-apprentices were placed in construction employment.
