UCSF Real Estate provides early visibility into anticipated projects and future procurement opportunities before formal solicitation. This section helps design consultants, contractors, and industry partners prepare for upcoming RFQs, RFPs, and other solicitations. Information is preliminary and for planning purposes only. Mission Bay Grounds Relocation from Block 16 to Block 18
MB GNDS RELOC B16 to B18 (PRJ-000678)
UCSF plans to relocate existing grounds operations from Block 16 to Block 18 to support future construction activities at Block 16 in Mission Bay.
- Anticipated scope includes site demolition and preparation, utility modifications, fencing and gates, security and access controls, storage container placement and anchorage, drainage, electrical improvements, and EV charging infrastructure.
- Due to the overall campus development schedule, the project is anticipated to follow an accelerated design, permitting, and construction timeline, with consultant solicitation anticipated in June 2026 and construction targeted to begin in October 2026.
- Estimated Construction Budget: $625K

Informal Form Bidding Base Qualification ($300,000-$640,000)
Effective January 1, 2015, Senate Bill 502 amended Public Contract Code Section 10504.5, enabling the University of California, San Francisco, to informally bid projects up to $640,000. For informally bid projects between $300,000 and $640,000, the University is required to solicit bids only from qualified General Contractors. Qualification is based on meeting the requirements in the Base Qualification Questionnaire.

Designers and Professional Services | Annual Announcement
The Annual Announcement is for consultants interested in performing architectural, landscape architectural, engineering, environmental, land surveying, construction project management, and other facility-related services. Each year, an applicant pool is created at UCSF from firms responding to the Annual Announcement.
