Standards and Guidelines

Campus Design & Construction, Health Design & Construction and Heath Major Capital Projects are responsible for the design and construction of UCSF’s varied and wide-ranging physical environments.

The UCSF Real Estate Building Design Standards are a comprehensive set of design standards intended to support a cohesive design language, a unified design approach, and a comprehensive resource database for the design and construction of UCSF’s diverse project types. The goals of the standards are design quality, construction quality, cost-effectiveness, design flexibility, efficiency, functionality, practicality and durability. The application of these standards supports continued design excellence across all UCSF sites and buildings.

New building standards are under development.
