Standards and Guidelines

Campus Design & Construction, Health Design & Construction and Heath Major Capital Projects are responsible for the design and construction of UCSF’s varied and wide-ranging physical environments.

The UCSF Real Estate Building Design Standards are a comprehensive set of design standards intended to support a cohesive design language, a unified design approach, and a comprehensive resource database for the design and construction of UCSF’s diverse project types. The goals of the standards are design quality, construction quality, cost effectiveness, design flexibility, efficiency, functionality, practicality and durability. The application of these standards supports continued design excellence across all UCSF sites and buildings.

New building standards are under development.
