UCSF Health Active Projects

 

UC Hall Interior Abatement and Demolition

As part of the revitalization of UCSF’s Parnassus Heights campus, UC Hall is being replaced with a new Parnassus Heights Research and Academic Building, or PRAB.



95 Kirkham Seismic Retrofit and Renovation

UCSF’s facility at 95 Kirkham, originally built in the 1950’s, is being renovated to meet current seismic safety requirements and to provide a dry lab and support space suite; offices; conference rooms; and breakroom facilities to support the UCSF mission.



Parnassus Research and Academic Building (PRAB)

The Parnassus Research and Academic Building, or PRAB will be a new state-of-the-art research and academic building built as part of the first phase of projects to revitalize UCSF’s century-old Parnassus Heights campus.



HSIR Improvements Program

A program of projects to improve the seismic resilience of HSIR is expected to begin construction in fall 2022.

The HSIR Improvements Program consists of three projects:



UCSF Research and Academic Building at ZSFG

UCSF, which has a long-standing partnership with the City and County of San Francisco, is building a new five-story facility that will contain state-of-the-art research, teaching, and administrative space.



UCSF New Parking Garage and Clinical Building

Construction of a new UCSF clinical facility and parking garage began in Mission Bay in April 2021. The Block 34 project is located south of the new UCSF Wayne and Gladys Valley Center for Vision (WGVCV) and bounded by Illinois, Mariposa and Third Streets. Construction is scheduled to continue through August 2024.



LPPI Inpatient Relocation to Mount Zion

A project to renovate the sixth and seventh floors of the UCSF Medical Center at Mount Zion is in construction. The updated spaces will be the new location for current occupants of the Langley Porter Psychiatric Hospital and Clinics, who will move to Mount Zion once construction is complete.
